almost....
Im not sure if anyone is still reading this blog, however I have to update you all on results process. Because of visiting teaching reports and 7 extra children at my house all week I will have them by SAT. My question to everyone is this.....are we wanting to get together to have a results party or are we just posting them on the blog? Let me know your thoughts by this weekend. Thanks!

Greek Yogurt
We had Skinny Taste's Creamy Grape Dessert at the luncheon this afternoon. One of the ingredients in the dessert is Greek yogurt, Cook's Illustrated (America's Test Kitchen) recently did a review of Greek yogurts, and it is clear that all brands our not created equally, literally. If you are interested in their findings you can read about it here. If any of you find their winner, Olympus Traditional Greek Nonfat, let me know, I have yet to find it stocked at any of our grocery stores.

Our Next Challenge
With only one week left in our 8-week challenge, there's so many things to say, it's simply not very clear where to start...
First of all, THANK YOU! A huge and loving thank-you to each and everyone of us that has persevered along this path. As any of us, I'm sure, can attest to, this has been so many things along the way. It's been about new connections and new friendships; knowing you're not alone; learning how to exercise right; finding the truth; wanting to give up but somehow finding the strength not to; sidestepping the sugar; drinking better; cooking better; tasting better; looking better; and smiling easier.
It's also been about crying and frustration. It's been about realizing that sometimes each one of ourselves can truly be our own worst enemy, while at the same time finding out that a simple text message of "S.O.S." can bring countless responses of support and encouragement right when we need it most.
It's been about gathering together, and working alone. It's been about big changes, and static plateaus. Perhaps most importantly though, it's been about love. Love for ourselves, and love for each other. It really has become a "sisterhood." What we've done here can and will continue to have a lasting impact on our entire lives. So thank you, thank you. I can't say it enough.
All right, enough said. It's time now to switch things up a bit, but keep movin' on down the line! Our next challenge will be four weeks long and will give us the opportunity to work with a fitness and diet expert, I'd like to introduce everyone to Nick Olsen:
Nick is a personal trainer based here in Salt Lake City, but he has clients from all over the United States. He has worked with hundreds of individuals to teach them how to increase their quality of life through fitness and health. His fitness philosophy is all about creating lasting change and not just temporary “fad diets” or workout sprints. He has an unparallelled passion for his work which is based on his own experience of getting in shape.
Nick has created what he calls the 4-Week Challenge. (Check out his website here: http://4weekchallenge.com/ ) During this challenge, he will not only design individual work-outs based on each of our individual needs, he also specializes in designing and helping each of implement a meal plan according to our individual requirements. You don't have to belong to a gym, he will customize your workouts for what you have. It's a great opportunity for all of us to learn more about ourselves and our own specific needs.
Nick has agreed to meet with us here in Sandy next week and do a personal kick-off with our group. (I'm thinking we could do it 8:00PM on Thursday when most of us might have a better opportunity to be available.) The cost would be $39.96 for each of us.
So if you, or anyone you know, would like to be a part of this new 4-Week Challenge, let me or Lizzy know by Monday, March 26th.

Soda pop icecream!
I haven't tried this yet but when summer somes around I am giving this a whirl!
You basically just choose your favorite soda (2 liters), add a 14 oz. can of sweetened condensed milk (could be fat free), throw it in an ice cream maker, turn it on and 30 minutes later you have a creamy blend of deliciousness. The variations are endless, like Sunkist for a dreamsickle taste or Rootbeer float!

All you need is:
-1 egg
-1/4 c quick oats
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
-1 T. Soy milk, milk, or water
-sugar or sweetener of choice
-fruit of choice
Mix ingredients in your mug, cook in the microwave for 1 minute. If muffin isn’t fully set up continue to cook 30 seconds at a time.
